The lovely Kaylee posted this over on her blog New Voice, New Life
I thought it made for very interesting reading
What do you think?

  2. yep. PHYSICIANS should be aware of it. continuing education in general is essential for being a good physician. these days they get i.e. 60 yr old addicts (street drugs) and 50 yr old anorexics/bulimics they need to be aware. i hope a physician comes across it.

the majority of the readers of your blog on the other hand knows these things anyway, more than well.

i personally have to/want to stay away from diving (back?) into these depts of the world of ED. under whatever pretext.

  3. It's an ok article, but I personally do think it misses the mark in some points....
But that's just because I think it overvalues weight and appearance and bloodwork....
It's too much about AN like.... disorders, and ... there's more...

I don't know. It might just be that I got another not so thoughtfull reaction in therapy yesterday about this...

  4. Yes, yes and yes! I want to print this out and hand it out to all the shitty GPs at my clinic.
Number five is so true! “WE TREAT EVERYTHING…except eating disorders.”, made me giggle.
