To see if anyone is reading my blog
And so see which posts get the most hits
This blog gets anywhere from 300 - 1000
views a day
I have no idea if this is a lot
Or a little
Or if it's average
It's nice to know that people read
But sometimes it can be a bit disconcerting knowing that this many people are reading my words
The aim of my blog is to tell the truth about what it's like to live with addiction and disordered eating
And I do so as honestly as I can
I love writing this blog
And it wouldn't bother me much of I had one view a day
Or a million views a day
It's a hobby
Something I do every day
It's not part of my routine
And I really would be lost without it
I was wondering about you
And your blog
What are your statistics like?
Do you check them often?
Does it bother you if they are low or High?
Do they spike after a particular post?
Would you mind if someone you knew read your blog?
I'd love to know.....
I check my stats... I like that people read and interact... I then love visiting their blogs ♡
ReplyDeleteThere is only one person that I wished would stop reading it because she takes all my words out of context and sends me rude messages. It's because she is insecure and unhappy with her life... time for her to move on.
Other than her I would love even more readers... although it is tough to keep up sometimes... I too like being honest and open... ♡
Good to hear from you Launna
DeleteI know that you follow a lot of blogs
I don't know where you get the time
Thanks for stopping by
Hope you are doing ok x
I don't check too often, I know I get a lot of reads from various people around the world. Many don't comment, but on a few occasions some do. I blog about Aspergers Syndrome, Anxiety, Depression, unemployment and the struggle to get published as a writer. I don't have a huge amount of followers, but it's mostly a place for me to vent.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing alright despite recent slip ups, it's good to hear that you're going to meetings. Keep up the good work and baby steps lead to great strides.
Hey Anne,
DeleteYes I am trying to get back on track
It's not easy
But I have to do it x
I don't check much, just when I'm really bored I guess. It's mostly you guys from what I see of the countries of views.
ReplyDeleteHope you've been doing well Ruby dear, I've been looking through your older posts and you're worrying me. Take care sweetie.
Love,
Christie
I'm doing better now Christie
DeleteThank to the help and support of my family and you lovely girls here on blogger x
My more popular posts tend to be the picture ones, and right now they are getting views in the 20s-30s. I have 70-some followers, though fewer than 10 comment with anything remotely resembling regularity. Blogger feels like a barren wasteland right now. I mostly blog for myself, but there is definitely a sense of community that I've built with several women that leaves me feeling a little empty when they're gone.
ReplyDeleteI agree Tempest
DeleteBlogger is deathly quiet at the moment
Why is that?
I actually just wrote a post about it
Yes I think posts with photos do get a lot more views
I used to get about 15 comments after every post
But now it's more like 5-10 x
You should def start a youtube channel! This would generate an even bigger audience. Youtube is the big thing after blogging. It's mainly young people who are successful there, but you could still give it a try! Xx
ReplyDeleteAre you saying I'm not young?
DeleteAhem ahem! X
Oh dear,so sorry, i just judged by your pictures! I still think youtube would be great you seem to have a lot to say!
DeleteI'm only messing
DeleteBut you are right
YouTube is a great idea
I don't know a lot about it but it's something to think about x
I tend to glance at the number whenever I log on - I'm a total ocd numbers nut so it's beyond my control! The only real trend I've noticed is that posts about explicitly ED-related stuff tend to get the most views/comments, which makes sense since I think many of my readers are ED bloggers themselves, or at least ED blog readers - but overall it really depends. I also do a fair amount of communication with readers via e-mail.
