Dress Dilemma!

I need your help today
I am going away for the weekend next weekend
Up to my uncles
And we are going to the theatre on the Saturday night
To see a west end production of Mama-Mia
I'm really excited to go
And bought a shirt dress from Brakeburn to wear
Here in lies my dilemma
What to wear it with it
Below
You will see photos of said dress with bare legs
And with jeans
I'm not overly happy to get my bare  legs out
As I HATE my legs
I think they have absolutely no shape to them
But I am wondering what you think
Which do you prefer?

It just hit me that the biggest problem I have today is what to wear to the theatre
First world problems right there!
My problems used to be alternately trying to kill myself
And trying to stay alive
Today is a good day.....

  1. Defs no jeans. You could wear nude coloured rights if you didn't want to go bare?

I'm the complete opposite - I hate hiding my legs in jeans and live in skirts and dresses

    1. I just worried because the dress is quite short
      But yes
      I could wear nude tights
      Or even leggings
      Thanks for your suggestion x

    2. I don't think it's too short - I'm 5'3" and rarely go out in anything shorter than mid-thigh :O I used to never wear anything above the knee at all but you just need to get confidence! Even if you think your legs aren't nice, it's not going to be the focus of everyone else in the room!

  3. I like covering up myself for various reasons, but you look great in the second picture!! You rock the dress without the jeans. But if you feel comfortable covering up do so! :) You need to be comfortable in whatever you do :) ..
I hope you're all well :) and thank you for your lovely blog entries :)

  8. I think either bare legs, or a pair of opaque black tight if you're comfortable. Enjoy yourself at the theater!

  9. I think they both look nice. I am also partial to wearing dark leggings with flowy tops/dresses. It gives you a more covered feel without feeling clunky because of thick fabrics. I think if your goal is to enjoy your night out and feel comfortable, jeans are just fine. If your goal is to challenge yourself, tights are just fine, too. I dearly love theater, and used my theater weekend in Chicago as an excuse to doll up a little and get out of my comfort zone.

    Enjoy the show!

  10. It's a great dress on you and you totally rock with bare legs. I think nude leggings mid calf with cute flats would look darling on you.

Have fun at the show. I am a theatre geek and love Mama Mia. Enjoy every moment.

  11. You look awesome both ways but I think the jeans combo is a more dress down version? You need to be comfortable otherwise you can hinder the experience ( been there done that got the too tight sleeveless Tshirt :-) , so I'd go with the tights and boots suggestions above!!!
Enjoy your night music rocks and definitely rocks my world k. xxx

  12. This is late due to being offLine for Sнабат, but if you're still taking opinions, my 2 pence goes w\L: I think no jeans-! There eint a THING wrong w\your legs--you could totally OWN this if you were willing-! =)
Nudes, the calf-leggins\flats combo & Fashionista Bells’ opaques sound a suitable compromise & actually quite cute; but that being said, DO YOU: whutevs makes You feel comfortable is your bestest bet.
L said it wouldnt be focus of ev'ry1 in room & I so agree: They would just be drawn to the charming young woman w\the fierce smile & undeniable SPARK--[which will shine through all the MORE if you feel confident in your garb !!]

WoW, that was actually no help ATAHL…

Btw, like your 2e pic pose--it's so Hollywood Red Carpet-!! [You GO, girl-!] ; )

  13. You look gorgeous either way. I'd go with the weather: jeans if it's a bit nippy out, no jeans if it's warm.

  14. Bare legs! Gorgeous! As long as it's not cold. Even if it was, tights and some boots.
