Tattoos/Piercings

As you know
I got my nose pierced a couple of months ago
As well as that
My ears are pierced five times
And in the past I've had my eye brow and belly button pierced
I feel like I've been bitten by the piercing bug
As I now want to get something else pierced
I would really love to get my labret done

But the last piercer I spoke to said that it wouldn't work on me
And would interfere with my lower gums
I would like to get my belly button pierced again

But I'd so like to get a facial piercing
So maybe my septum

Or between my nose and my upper lip

I haven't quite decided yet

Also
I would like to get my first tattoo
I've toyed with the idea for a long time
But couldn't decide on an image
I really like wings on shoulder blades
Not a huge pair
But quite sizeable

Or else I would like to get a feather on my ribs
To remind me to be kind and gentle to myself

Anyway
Something to think about
And to get excited about
Any thoughts welcome......

  1. Keep thinking on your tattoo because at least with piercings they're wasily removed. I seem to have the tattoo bug more than the piercing bug. I have my ears and belly button pierced and that's it.
I have three tattoos and I can tell you from personal experience that rib tattoos hurt like all hell. The least painful spot I've found is the wrist to get tattooed. I'm already thinking about my fourth lot of ink, but it'll have to wait until after summer as you can't govswimming for two weeks after getting it done.
Make sure you're informed on tattoo after care because you can ruin ink if you don't look after it properly.
I'm notva fan of septum piercings l, but I like the look of the one between the lip and the nose.
Can't wait to see photos once you've decided on what you're getting done. Fresh ink or a new piercing is always exciting.

    1. Thanks Anne for the handy hints
I will of course post photos
Which ever way I decide to go
      Although like you said
I am thinking piercing rather than tattoo for the moment x

  2. Oooh!!! I've had both bugs for awhile now. :) I want to get my tragus pierced. I think that septum piercings are really pretty. I have several friends who have dermal piercings in various places on their face. I think hand piercings are a bit interesting. Rings between the thumb and first finger....and also dermals on the back of the hand or fingers.

I think both of your tattoo ideas are great! I'm excited to see what you decide on. :)

I've been toying with the idea of a tattoo....like a recovery tattoo. Trees are a huge symbolic thing for me, always have been. I would love to get a tattoo of a gnarly bark tree with an expansive root system...dead limbs, but a smattering of leaves starting to grow. On the trunk I want the NEDA symbol woven into the design of the bark. It's a symbol of where I've been, where I am now, and where I hope to someday be. :)

    1. I love you idea SW
      I think it's so cool
To get something that means a lot to you
I would also like a sleeve
But would really need to design that properly

I will of course post photos x

  3. I was actually going to say, I think a belly piercing would really suit you, but if you want something facial, I like the upper lip piercings (though I think to one side would really suit you better than centered) or an eyebrow piercing.

I like the idea of a feather tattoo. It's subtle, and doesn't scream it's meaning to the world. I'm a fuddy-duddy though, who thinks any tattoo should be very carefully considered for a long period of time. Personally, I've always wanted an ankh on my neck and a phoenix on my forearm. I've wanted both since I was about 12, so I think I'm sure :P

    1. It's funny Bella
I an just in the middle of an argument with my mum and sister about piercings
They are so opposed to it
      I think it's funny
As I love to shock them
But they got used to the nose one
So I'm sure they'll grow to love it... X

  4. I can speak from personal experience that the septum is no joke. I thought it was worse than my nostril. It's also important to find jewelry that isn't overpowering. I've got a pretty blingy one in now but I'm going to opt for a simple, close fitting ring when I get my internship interview. It's hard because I want a professional career but I love tattoos and piercings so keep in mind what you want to do. Fun fact, I just got a new tattoo with a friend I met on blogger. We became best friends and when she flew in we got friendship tattoos. I have a geometric fox because that's her favorite animal and she got a geometric horse because that's mine. :) I've made some cool relationships out of this. Think hard on your tats and go to a good shop. Be vocal about what you want. I learned that the hard way. I got a swallow on my foot and my current artist cleaned it up and added flowers but not all can be fixed so easily.

    1. Yes I thought the septum would be pretty sore
Even the thoughts of it makes me wince in pain

      Oh who is your friend?
Is she part of this community?
That is so cool that ye are now best friends x

  5. I will Shelby
I've been thinking about it for years
So I won't be rushing in to it
I really like the idea of the wings
As they will be on my upper back
And not visible all the time

    But yes
    I will think carefully
    Thanks Shelby x
